Hi,
there is a video provider interface which supports gstreamer,
independent from the underlying system, it is implemented in
DirectFB/interfaces/IDirectFBVideoProvider/idirectfbvideoprovider_gstreamer.c.
You can use this video provider and render into a directfb surface directly.
