I doubt that directfb-engine will help here. If there's a memleak it's
most probably either not in the pixmap engine or it is in our port as
well. The DirectFB port is pretty straightforward. If I had found a
memleak in the pixmap engine, I'd have told Owen to fix it.

hmm, looks as if directfb-engine-0.3 doesn't work with the newer
gtk+-directfb-2.0.6. Sorry that I didn't notice that. I have fixed it
in CVS and will upload a directfb-engine-0.4 tarball later today.
