    Jon> I have a G550. I have directfb 0.9.19 (from debian unstable),

Ok, now I have a clean unpatched 2.4.22 + DirectFB 0.9.19 + MPlayer
0.91 wiht mga_vid driver (it work under X and console).

And (I think it is important) the following /etc/directfbrc:
matrox-crtc2
matrox-tv-standard=pal
sync
debug
disable-module=joystick
disable-module=lirc
disable-module=ps2mouse
disable-module=serialmouse
disable-module=sonypi

Then, in single user mode, Mplayer work with mga, fbdev *and* directfb
drivers. When I use dfbmga this is the output:

(*) parsing config file '/etc/directfbrc'.

Invalid sub-picture configuration?

    Jon> I run XFree86 (I insist :) ). When I want to watch something

    Jon> mplayer -vo dfbmga:input -vop expand=-30:-30:15:18

I need some '-vop' configuration too?

I think Multihead and Vesa are not necessary with G450-550.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Bye. Cosme.
