It seems to start in master mode. Unless you specified to create a new session
I would say that the old session is gone, i.e. the fusion device (/dev/fusion/0)
has been closed by each fusionee and/or the kernel (upon process termination).

Why are you using "backsystem"?
It results in software only rendering of/within windows.

The configuration is ok, though.

Make sure that mplayer is linked against the same version of DirectFB.
There's no ABI version checking for the shared memory, yet.
