You have three choices: 1. Use matrox-crtc2 and primary-layer=2 DirectFB options. 2. Use matrox-crtc2 option and run XDirectFB with -displayLayer 2 switch. 3. Use matroxfb to drive the TV-out as /dev/fb1 and set fbdev=/dev/fb1 DirectFB option.
