I've never really understood this part, so I'd better do some
researching. In my naive mind, my TV has a physical aspect ratio of
4:3, while 720x576 is 5:4. That means I have non-square pixels, right ?
Does that matter ? I assume at the very least it means that when I
develop the apps on my computer screen I'll have to live with them being
non-correct aspect ratio...
Anyways, does anyone know of good docs explaining why 720x576 is best
for PAL ?

I thought so - will try that now. The reason I didn't is because
configure has the search for fusion.h hardcoded to
/usr/include/linux/fusion.h, while most packages I know that need kernel
source or headers allow an override of kernel include location. Would a
patch for that be useful ? If so, I'll make and submit it.

Right. But what decides which app will run on top of the other ?
