Are you saying you have the same problems wih CPU load in Windows? I've never measured my system's performance in Windows. DirectFB is very well accelerated on Matrox cards. mplayer -vo dfbmga certainly uses hardware acceleration for everything except copying the data. For some reason your mplayer spends too much time doing this (fast_memcpy_MMX2). That could indicate a problem with MTRRs but since they are fine on your system I'm not sure what's going on. > You are running G550 right?
