Ok I was thinking with my ass :) I was thinking about the pixel clock and 
increasing the horizontal resolution is possible by increasing the pixel 
clock to maintain the horizontal timing.

The TV encoder can convert the progressive signal to interlaced. I think 
in that case the horizontal frequency should be around 30 kHz.
