I've managed to compile DirectFB, and most important: dfbmga (thanks Ville!)

I tested it with an interlaced mpeg, and I got some "jumps" in the image so I used:
mplayer -vf pp=lb -vo dfbmga video_file.mpg
Is this the correct procedure?

Then I tested with a 768x576 16:9 MPEG2 source (a dvb-s recording from "BBC ONE")
and all I got was a black screen... :(
Any help on how to play 16:9 MPEG2 sources?

When I run "mplayer -vo dfbmga..." from another pc, via ssh, i can see the mplayer output,
and the video on the tv, but when I stop mplayer, I stop seing what I'm typing!
Can anyone give me a tip on how to fix this?

I would like to use dfbmga with a software MPEG2 decoder that works with VDR.
Which one should I use? Does the xine-vdr plugin work with dfbmga?

best regards to all,
gb
