OK. Having compared the two, there's definitely some noticeable
flicker with the freevo GUI in 'ordinary TV' mode.

I wouldn't call it particularly obnoxious, but it's there. It's no
worse than with static broadcast images.

Perhaps a larger font would help mask the interlacing?
