you cannot use stgfb from stapi with stgfb from STLinux.com together,
If you need STAPI to play videos, forget open source stgfb kernel
module
 
   So, I cannot render DirectFB components when using the video decoding features (from STAPI)? Is it right? I don't know if my fb driver comes from STLinux. Actually, I have the stgfb source code under a directory tree supplied by ST (I think it is a part of STAPI...).

DirectFB driver stgfx supports only OSD (one) layer see
https://bugzilla.stlinux.com/, other ones are handled by
LinuxDVB/STAPI ...
 
I did not understand. Do you mean the stgfb or is this stgfx another fb driver? This combination (stgfx with LinuxDVB/STAPI) is feasible?
