Well, I used to create these packages. Thus I know best how much work it
is. At that point in time I got paid for helping out with DirectFB and
the GTK+ port. I fully understand that no one wants to do this without
getting paid for it. Especially since there is so little benefit. For
most people SVN works fine. And nowadays the official GTK+ release
tarballs include the DirectFB port. So there is even less reason to put
additional snapshots online.

According to the GTK+ 2.10.8 release notes, the build problem with the
DirectFB backend has been fixed. And there's even a 2.10.9 release out
now. Why don't you just use one of those?
