Me neither. Was there anything else broken besides i2c headers? Just 
updating those should not break anything.

Is it connected via analog VGA ie. not DVI? I have seen some random sync 
problems with at least one TFT (might have been an Acer even). There may 
be a resync (or something like that) button/menu option on the monitor 
which could fix it also.
