Hello, I am using DFBSee with DIrectFB 1.0.0, using the xine video provider. My hardware is an intel 945GM so I am using the intelfb drivers.
I ultimately want my output to be 720p (1280x720) and only that. Currently I can only get 1024x768 to work. I took a look at the file /etc/fb.modes which I believe contains the information necessary for the resolution to be set. It appears this file is optimized for an ATI device, is this true? I read the man for fbset and fb.modes. This helped a little bit, however I am still extremely confused as to how I should be setting the modelines for 720p resolution. Is this display specific, graphics chip specific, neither, both? Is there a decent guide around that explains how to calculate the values I need? Thanks for any help.
