Hi, I am new to the directFB, i am trying to configure and run some sample test applications already available with 1.3 release in a Intel PC with GNOME enabled
While trying, i am getting lots of errors. I know i have not set the information correctly in the .directfbrc. Hence, i need information on the following. 1. I do not see, any device /dev/fb0 in my Fedora core 8 with Radeon Graphcs adaptor on a Intel x86 platform. how do i configure that, is there any step i need to do? 2. I reviewed man page on directfbrc, but i am not able to make out which are all madatory option and which are not. Hence, can some one please point out what options to be used. 3. when i build version 1.3 of directFB i used the following configuration. ./configure --with-gfxdrivers=radeon --enable-debug --with-inputdrivers=keyboard,ps2mouse --disable-x11 4. I built the complete directFB and installed in the standard place it is suppose to install in a test machine. 5. Now i am trying to run 'dbinfo' application to see, how it works. i am getting error indicating caugth signal 11 in x11input when it is trying to check the function pointer is non-null. I looked at another question similar to this in this archive, but i am confused based on the answer whether i can run under X11 the directFB test programs. Can someone please let me know what i need to do. 6. I know what i have in directfbrc is not sufficient and also possibly not correct, but just to give the complete information I am providing this. cat ~/.directfbrc system=devmem fbdev=/dev/fb0 pixelformat=RGB32 mode=1024x768 video-phys = c0100000 video-length = 65536 Any help to get me started will be really appreciated.
