Thanks I just tried half the choices using argb->SetPorterDuff (argb, DSPD_SRC_OUT ); and there was no difference in any setting, so I am assuming the directfb implementation on the smp8635 doesn't support this. Thanks this sounded promising and it was something I didn't know about at all.
