seems it's unpossible (,
upgraded to debian/testing with 2.6.32 and directfb 1.2.10, but:

- viafb module loads without any activity at all and no entries in
dmesg/syslog/etc and no framebuffer devie appears

- directfb with vesafb now for some reason allocates only part of screen when
creating primary surface, so all painting is made
in the upper left part of a screen in a 640x480 area, and something is wrong
with the colors
i saw something similar when tried to make splashy work on debian, that time i
gave up

for now i'd be hapy if at least i'l be able to make directfb use whole screen
in place of its part

Haven't anyone face similar problems?
