I suppose it would work, maybe you'll need a boot -r afterwards if some solaris specialties don't get transported perfectly. I've had grad results with using dirvish for data and using FLARs as disaster recovery and would recommend it for anyone. That's especially nice if you can boot net install from a JS server. That's not really detailed, but docs.sun.com has great docs on both FLAR and Jumpstart. Look at JES, and if you have high security needs, JASS. Best of success to you whichever way you go.
