I cannot comment on the Beagleboard, but using UHD on the E100 works great for me. I have been using it reliably for the last few weeks. I haven't rebuilt UHD in probably a week and a half or so, but I was planning on doing that in the next couple of days using the next branch.
I'll let you know if I run into issues, but right now everything is smooth sailing.
