Actually it would be interesting whether it makes sense to put an
AppKit UI over the ScalableOGo storage (and use the store locally on
the client!).
In SOGo the iCal/vCards are also stored as-is. The fun thing is that
it maintains an index over the data in a relational database so that
you can do queries like "gimme all events of this week" w/o reparsing/
loading all iCal files. (when you store an event into SOGo, it parses
the file and stores UI relevant components like start-date in the
index table).
I think this would also be a cool basis for an AppKit application
which works on iCal/vCard data. However it brings in many more
dependencies and probably would be harder to integrate (you would need
some SOPE database stuff plus the SQLite3 adaptor etc).
