Without seeing any of your code it is impossible to say for certain
what the problem is, but it sounds like you have created a new class
interface without and #import directive pointing to the declaration of
the superclass. Try putting this at the top of your header and see if
the problem goes away:
#import <Foundation/Foundation.h>
