​I, personally, do recognize this.  I think your work on mySTEP and
QuantumStep are very important.  They show us ways to optimize for
platforms which GNUstep would normally not be deployed on.

​You shouldn't work on any of those things unless you choose to do so.​
Period.  Your reasons for maintaining your fork are entirely justified and
reasonable.  And it should be stated that, even if they were not, you have
the right to fork just because you want to.

​I'm really not sure what argument you're referring to. IndiePhone is
trying to make a phone with the explicit goals of:

1) Being 100% open and transparent.  And we have done this so far... there
is little info to release at this point
2) ​design driven
3) explicit non-sharing of information with services such as Google and
Facebook

It should be noted. I don't speak for the project just telling you guys
what I know so far

​The topic of forks is definitely a related topic, even if IndiePhone
isn't.​  Let me state this really clearly: There is nothing wrong with a
fork.  Forks are fine and they are a "good thing" in most cases.
