I can't judge on this but it is not clear what it has to do with GNUstep and this list. And how "Call to stop contributing" could be a synonym of "We should adopt this as a COC...". That is a too missionary and lobbying or activist view for me, even if they have failed significantly. Freedom includes for me not to be missionarised to help to throw the first stone. I find that type of freedom for example here unless there are such political discussions. And my view on "CoC" in general: it is just a piece of paper (or set of bits). People follow rules or they don't. Others are masters of rule breaking. Some even hide behind such rule sets and interpret them in a way that they seem to prove good what common sense thinks is misbehaviour. Codifying morale is a difficult topic and has been tried for more than 2000 years. With limited success or we would live in paradise and peace forever. It is something constitutions and society and law systems (and religions) are trying to solve every day. Not projects like ours. We can not codify morale but only algorithms in Obj-C. So I agree that your goals and intentions are very valid and that this is an important discussion. But not here. Bring these issues to court or law makers. We can only improve GNUstep but not society. Of course it is part of society but a so small one that e.g. forking from FSF doesn't have a significant effect. Happy coding, Nikolaus
