We are building this process. We can shephard domains over from other
registrars right now, but it's an reasonably annoying process (it will
involve doing the orders via the CIRA registrars interface and then
inserting the domains into your profile and charging accordingly. It's ugly,
I think, but we will do them. Keep in mind that registrar transfers cost one
.ca domain year ($19 US).
So, if anyone wants to transfer a .ca domain name from another .ca registrar
to Tucows, please use the following process:
a) ensure that you have some method for charging your client that is NOT
dependant on standard OpenSRS client billing hooks (since this process takes
place 'outside' the system)
b) Send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] IN THE FOLLOWING FORMAT:
Subject: .ca registrar name transfer for DOMAIN.CA (put the real domain in,
obviously)
Body:
-----
Please transfer the name {{DOMAIN.CA}} from the current registrar to Tucows,
under the reseller profile {{RSP_username}}.
I understand that my Reseller account will be charged for one Canadian
domain year for this process.
If you do not follow this format, it's possible we'll complete the request
if you are sufficiently clear, but please, for the sake of our support team,
stick to the format :)
