It is one message for both which makes "your domain has been
registered" quite confusing and misleading to the customer you just
submitted a transfer request for...

I hope so.  In the mean time, either make the message generic, "if you
submitted a new domain registration, your domain has been registered.  If
you submitted a transfer request, we have started processing the
request".  Or, just turn off the message...
