Hmmm, do I smell an extension on the transfer rebate?

Without going into too much detail (cuz they'd probably fire me if I did),
I can say that things are definitely not as they appear in this space...

The following is a listing of the marketshare for August 1, 2000 with the
relevant names blanked out....top twenty performers only....

Registrar 1: (39.23%)
Registrar 2: (13.00%)
Registrar 3: (10.44%)
Registrar 4: (9.06%)
Registrar 5: (4.51%)
Registrar 6: (4.11%)
Registrar 7: (4.05%)
Registrar 8: (2.30%)
Registrar 9: (1.44%)
Registrar 10: (1.34%)
Registrar 11: (1.13%)
Registrar 12: (1.09%)
Registrar 13: (0.94%)
Registrar 14: (0.81%)
Registrar 15: (0.74%)
Registrar 16: (0.67%)
Registrar 17: (0.65%)
Registrar 18: (0.63%)
Registrar 19: (0.44%)
Registrar 20: (0.40%)

The interesting thing is that #3 and below are faced with falling daily
volumes in most cases and #2 is growing (it was only roughly 7% per day
thirty days prior).

I refuse to comment on the who's who, but the data is very interesting
nonetheless...

As far as bankruptcy goes, nothing would surprise me at this point - being
a registrar is not cheap and I can't see how some of these firms can get
by with the prices they charge and the volumes they see...being a reseller
is a much different proposition simply based on the sunk costs....

Anyways...have fun with the numbers...
