FWIW, I will provide some examples now. this is not current state, but what
we will move to early next week:

All of these examples are for one year "pre-registrations":

Anniversary Effective term Anniversary date
     11/15 12 2001/11/15
     12/10 13 2001/12/10
     05/1 18 2002/05/01
     09/15 22 2002/09/15

Effective term is the actual number of months we will charge.
Anniversary date is the next renewal date (based on a one year
pre-registration).

Our monthly rate will be $1.58 US.

The first twelve months will always be $19.00 US (in fact, the
pre-registration term, if more than one year, will always be calculated by
[term*19]).

So, the pricing model will be:

Effective term Price (USD)
12 19.00
13 20.58
14 22.16
15 23.74
16 25.32
17 26.90
18 28.48
19 30.06
20 31.64
21 33.22
22 34.80
23 36.38

The whole formula can be expressed as:

[term {1-9}*19]+[effective term correction calculation}

"Effective term correction calculation" being the process in which we
calculate the difference between 11/01 and the anniversary date in months.

The pricing model above accurately calculates the only possible rates for
one year "pre-registrations", once we move to the new model.

I hope this helps more than it confuses.
