In my experience, though it sounds like you've probably gone through this
100 times, is that sometimes the keys/copy/paste just don't end up working -
this will be a source of great panic when, in full-pride/total-moron mode, you update
your key in the middle of the workday. :-p Whoops!
My advice with either IE or Netscape (I'm not a big fan of NS 4.anything)
is just re-doing the process a couple of times.
...and of course, make sure you're not calling out from the subnet OR
that OpenSRS has ALLLLLLLLLLL of your potential IP's.
Also make sure you have no extraneous carriage returns or anything like
that in your username...
Best bet- call OpenSRS.

Generate a new key and copy and paste it using Netscape and not IE... I had
a problem like this, called Tech Suppport and they fixed me up in a jiffy.
Something about copy and paste not working quite right in IE.... the PRIVATE
KEY gets mangled.
Tom.

Subject: Can't get verify script to work
Hey All,
I have been banging my head against the wall with this one for several
days now. I have installed the opensrs client, all of the required
libraries, generated the private key on resellers-test and keyed it in by
hand. Still getting the following screen when I run the verify script:
Operating System : Linux xxxxxxx 2.2.12-20
#1 Mon Sep 27 10:07:24 EDT 1999 i586 unknown
Perl compiled for : linux (i586-linux)
Client Version : XML:pre0.1
Server Hostname : horizon.opensrs.net
Server Port : 55000
Reseller Username : xxxxxxxx
Private Key Length : 111
Encryption method : Blowfish
Checking for Digest::MD5 : OK (version 2.12)
Checking for Crypt::DES : OK
Checking for Crypt::Blowfish : OK (version 2.06)
Checking for Crypt::CBC : OK (version 1.25)
Checking for XML::Parser : OK (version 2.30)
Logging in to OpenSRS server : ERROR: Unable to login to server:
Authentication
failed
I have been wondering if my versions are incompatible and tried going back
to v 1.2 of cbc, but it seems blowfish and cbc require v1.22.... PLEASE
HELP!!!!!!!!!! I am not a perl expert, but I don't usually have this kind
of brick wall.... My perl version is 5.6.0, running on a redhat
distribution, if that helps.
Thanks,
Matthew Schick
