The problem is as I stated in an earlier message, OpenSRS sometimes doesn't receive the response from the registry that the transfer has completed, OpenSRS then cancels the transfer in their database, leaving the domain in limbo. OpenSRS used to fix these when pointed out, but for some reason OpenSRS has stopped fixing these--maybe because Chuck's leadership is no longer there? > once opensrs has the name, then you can change the name servers, and that > usually takes 24-48 hours.
