The lockdown may be something slightly different.. such as requiring a fax with
a copy of a drivers license (or something else that could be verified) to
transfer the domain.
Perhaps OpenSRS will have you print out a page with a 3D barcode when you lock
down the domain which you toss in your file cabinet next to your original
articles of incorporation and make SURE that you do not loose.. then you can
only approve changes by faxing them the same 3D barcode alone with a change-id
number. :-)
If my e-mail account is hijacked then someone would be able to provide the
gaining registrar ACK and the loosing registrar ACK. This could be done with
DNS poisoning or taking over the e-mail server, which I don't think leads to
industrial-level security that an e-tailer making tens of thousands of dollars
each hour would want.
