My guess would be that they have an enviable ad/marketing budget
and maintain margins such that these paltry issues are never raised
as concerns...

poach customers... well - nows a chance to get your own back.
Visit GoTo.com and search for "domain name registration". It seems that
Verio are paying a whopping $2.73 for each click-through. So - if you want
to cost them money, just load up the page and click away.
I just can't see how any company could justify such expense on clicks. They
either have an extremely high conversion rate or they're just plain stupid.
