Multilingual Updates.
We are working feverishly to release the new Multilingual Client. We are
currently stabilizing it and completing its documentation. I expect that the
client will be released as unsupported by Wed/Thurs to show resellers what
changes have been made. That being said we also plan to have the Horizon
test environment multilingual capable by early next week, MSP's can then
test this new system via both quick start and Full Access (client)
Since this is a Registry Sponsored test bed (meaning that we are not in
control of launch dates etc.) we are managing changing specifications as
well as undefined/changing release dates.
We expect to get an announcement from Verisign Global Registry Services Inc.
late this week about the expected launch date for Multilingual names to
commence. At this point we can only speculate what that date will be.
We will make further announcements on this list as well as on the
Multilingual page of the OpenSRS website
http://www.opensrs.org/multilingual.html as details become crystallized.
In the meantime I strongly urge those of you interested in multilingual
domains to educate your customers about this opportunity and its potential
rewards.
