Only the date that Cira takes over the registry has changed. UBC keeps
continues administering the registry until Dec.1st. (though they are no
longer processing new registrations). Names not pre-registered by Nov 1st
are still de-activated Nov 1st, but they have also extended the time they
will reserve them for the original nameholders until Dec 31st. I assume the
late period penalty still applies starting Nov. 1st, but I sure wish I had a
formal update, too.

Is this confirmed? Has the re-registration deadline been pushed to
December 1st? I haven't seen any confirmation from CIRA as yet and their
site lists nothing of the kind.
If so, does this mean that domains that have not been re-registered yet
will still work on Wednesday morning?
