IF there is an automatic renewal setting that functions independently of the
"Process Orders Immediately" flag, THEN the RSP whose RCU's will be charged
should be the only entity controlling it. Currently my customer can set the
auto-renew flag, without telling me, using any other RSP's scripts that
allow it. Apparently when renewal time comes, I will be charged for it. Or
am I mistaken? Does the auto-renew feature take into account which RSP's
login was used to change the flag? Which RSP pays the bill for an
auto-renewal - the one who has the domain name is their RWI, or the one
whose script was use to set the flag?
I have two problems with the current setup:
1. Any setting which results in the automatic spending of my RCU's should be
controlled by me alone.
2. Other RSP's shouldn't be renewing my customers' domains without my
knowledge. If my customer wants to transfer to another RSP, fine. Tell me
they have left - I'll delete them from my system. But as long as they are
my customer, and I am the one who entered into the registration contract
with them, and I am the one who provides support, and I am the one OpenSRS
calls when they've been contacted about a lost password, and I am the one
whose servers are being used for DNS, then I should be the one who does the
renewals.
Which brings up a legal question: If a customer registers a domain name
through me, and I bind them to the registration agreement, then they renew
for 9 years at another RSP, am I still a party to the original contract? If
the answer is yes, then I say "No Thanks, OpenSRS".

Why? Isn't that what the other options in the renew process are for
instead?
There should be an automatic setting, there is definitely a need for
that.
