But it has.  They've committed to making the change.  Just because the
restriction on who can do a renewal wasn't included in the code doesn't mean
that OpenSRS did it maliciously or without considering how the programs
would be used.  I wouldn't read any more into it than "they overlooked it".

*AND* once it was brought to their attention, they committed to changing it.
What more can you ask of a vendor?

C'mon, it's not a question of "do they care".  It's a question of "when they
make a mistake and their customers bring it to their attention, do they do
the right thing?"  The answer is an unquestioned YES.
