Nominet UK are the .uk domain registry, so if you want a .co.uk or .org.uk
domain you are going to be dealing with Nominet, at least indirectly.
The idea is, though, that you deal with your ISP, and they deal with
Nominet. If you instruct Nominet to change a tag, all they will do is
contact the ISP and issue them 48 hours notice to change the tag... and only
then if you can show that you have attempted to contact the ISP yourselves,
first.
What should happen is that the Registrant contacts the ISP to change the tag
-if the ISP is unco-operative, only then should Nominet be contacted, as a
last resort, not as a first point of contact...

Heh. Shame, my customer wanted to never deal with nominet again. How do
