To assist OpenSRS resellers, I think it would be beneficial for OpenSRS to
release statistics in the form of percentages for marketing purposes (not
exact numbers)
Ie:
.com domains made up 80% of sales in the month of Jan/2001
.net domains made up 10% of sales
.org domains made up 0.05% of sales
.tv domains made up 0% of sales
82% of domain years added were new domains
6% of domain years added were renewals
2% of domain years added were transfers
..etc.etc..
I'm especially interested in the popularity of .co.uk and .ca domains, etc
so I can understand where the market is headed, and not just from my own
stats.
Releasing percentages still keeps the numbers private so your competition
doesn't know your volume. I think this information would be useful to
people, and easy to calculate on your end.
Anyone else interested?
