I've been in conversation with dotTV. That minimum term does not apply to
domains registered via OpenSRS - they only affect direct Registrants of
dotTV (i.e. referrals, yada yada).
There is another clause (section 6.a in
http://www.tv/en/policies/registration-agree.shtml) which states that there
is a $50 charge for altering the domain Registrant (Registrant transfers).
This too does not apply, as the clause is directed more to their direct
clients.
The contractual obligations listed on dotTV's site are more for liability,
and indemnity - etc :)
