Hi,

we have a question regarding nameservers :-)

We are using the following two name servers:
NS.VARIOMEDIA.DE IP Address: 212.84.253.5
(AKA NS.CNM.DE)
NS2.VARIOMEDIA.DE IP Address: 212.84.194.194
(AKA NS2.CNM.DE)

These are the entries at rs.internic.net

   Server Name: NS.CNM.DE
   IP Address: 212.84.194.194
   Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC.
   Whois Server: whois.networksolutions.com
   Referral URL: www.networksolutions.com

   Server Name: NS.VARIOMEDIA.DE
   IP Address: 212.84.253.5
Registrar: CORE INTERNET COUNCIL OF REGISTRARS
   Whois Server: whois.corenic.net
   Referral URL: www.corenic.net

You see, that NS.VARIOMEDIA.DE is registered correctly, but the IP
address of NS2.VARIOMEDIA.DE is being used already for NS.CNM.DE. We
can't change the host name NS.CNM.DE as it is already used with a lot
of domain names.

So I thought, I register my domains with the following settings:

 Domain servers in listed order:
    NS.VARIOMEDIA.DE 212.84.253.5
    NS.CNM.DE 212.84.194.194

This seems to work, I now have covered both name servers.
BUUUUUUUUT... when querying a name server for a registered domain, I
get

Additional Records Section:
    NS.CNM.DE, A, 212.84.253.5
    NS.VARIOMEDIA.DE, A, 212.84.253.5

Both times the same IP address...

What is correct now? Which name servers are being used?

Thanks a lot :-)
    Florian
