Jim,
The issue of having too many components in reg_system has been noticed and
is being addressed. Also, the release and implementation of bug fixes is
also being addressed - with diff files for minor releases (2.31 to 2.32)
and medium released (2.2 to 2.3) being slated as a part of our release
schedule. This will help address your issue.
As well, functions that can be seperate (or are superfluous to include in
certain components) will - in the near future - be placed in their own
component within the client architecture.
As for the mailing list, it might be prudent - I will discuss this with
the "PTB".
I appreciate your concerns (I have voiced them myself internally), and
