Just as an aside, I thought of another totally different reason it bugs
me that Tucows owns an OpenSRS reseller.
Let's say I had a really great idea that needed support from OpenSRS or
Tucows to implement it; it would make me very rich and you guys slightly
rich. I set up a secret business meeting, etc., and we get together.
It's important that my idea be hidden from competitors, and so I get
Tucows to sign a nondisclosure agreement so that nobody outside your
company hears about... oh, wait. Some people in your company *are* my
direct competitors, and you all could get very rich by having them
implement it and screwing me over. Damn.
Yeah, you could promise not to share it with the guy down the hall from
Domain Direct, but, you know, human nature and all.
Sorry to beat a dead horse. I don't actually have the great idea, and I'm
sure you guys are honest as daisies, but someone might have that idea one
day and wonder whether he could trust you.
