Last year we gave 30 days and had few problems with
non-payment after the 30 days, as most appreciated the
chance to straighten out their finances and would pay us.
This year we changed to 7 days because so many were not
paying after they became delinquent. We are now discussing
24 hours as more are not paying with the seven day period.
But my point is even with seven notices prior to suspension,
they still telephone or send irate emails because we
suspended them for non-payment. We are the bad guys, they
are the victims. People today seem to believe that it is
all right to act irresponsibly yet do not wish to accept the
consequences of those irresponsible acts.
