Some answers and points of clarification:
1. .biz only via the RWI. Yes...it does make things a little less
automated. However, our good friends at NeuLevel have yet to provide
registrars with any API or specs...which makes it difficult to build around
the platform.
However, you will have the ability to select 'number of tickets' Details to
follow tomorrow.
2. .info - random selection. The random selection (from within a registrar
queue) was learned of on a conference call a few weeks ago. I believe it
was communicated in one of the reseller updates (can't confirm) but
nonetheless...there have been many updates lately...
I think the key message here is if you are interested in submitting
pre-registrations for the queue, make sure that you are submitting to us the
minute that it opens so that you will get a chance in 'round 1'
3. Submitting more than 1 order (for .info I presume) Tucows is only
accepting submissions on a first come, first served basis for .info to
ensure that we maximize reseller chances of getting the name they submit.
(if there are duplicates, then registrars lose their turn in the submission
round)
4. Random selection. Within both sunrise and landrush, the registry is
operating on approximately 5 rounds. When the registry opens on June 25th,
it will begin accepting submissions for 7 days for round 1...and then
process for 3 days. While processing round 1, all submissions during this
time will move to round 2, etc. until all sunrise submissions are completed.
Same rules will apply to landrush.
5. I honestly have no idea why it is 3 chars for .info, and NeuLevel is only
2...it would be easier for us all if they used a universal system...but
unfortunately they haven't.

Subject: Fw: .biz and .info updates
Hey all... just wanted to clear a couple things up with the
.biz and .info stuff.
> .biz pre-registrations will only be offered through the RWI.
Well... that sucks!
Please, please, please tell me that the RWI will have a select box
for specifying "number of tickets" associated with an order. If
not, I'll have to submit multiple orders for customers that purchased
multiple tickets (and because of the way I'm marketing .biz, this
will be most of them).

Ah, so its not a first-in first-serve thing as initially planned?
Since you're using batch submissions, this actually makes sense -
but it means that people can increase their chances by submitting
more than one order... (but since money is on hold for .info, prob
won't be too much of that).
Just to clear up - will the random selection from the tucows queue
happen once (at the end of landrush period for example), or will
there be multiple rounds of such selections?

Three characters? Why are they doing that? Just to be awkward?
I was going to ask for a list of the country codes - but since we'll
only be submitting through the RWI, I guess there's not much point.
