I was going to say...
This may very well be why they now reject the transfer outright - to avoid
the possibility of the 'lost year' happening. It would be nice to think it
was because they saw the flaw in what they were doing, but far more likely
they got a slap from the credit card companies because of a large increase
in their number of chargebacks...
