As soon as Netsol send me an invoice (which is usually about 30 days before
the expiry date) I do the transfer. I use the Netsol invoices as reminders
to transfer the domain, in other words. So far, it has worked every time.
You don't owe them a cent until the day the domain expires, and I don't
think even Netsol would be insane enough to block a domain transfer that's
done pre-expiry of the domain.

This only gives you 30 days to get the transfer done, which means if there's
a problem of any kind you have only a small window in which to fix it, so
I'm not suggesting my method is a recommended method (in fact I don't always
follow it myself - often I'll just transfer a bunch when I have some spare
time).

I don't know for sure, but a couple of mine never came through either and I
had to track them down. In both cases they had sent it to the admin contact,
not the tech or billing contact. (The two domains in question I was tech and
billing, but not admin).

Since they've started this 'ack' request nonsense, it typically takes 2-3
days to arrive in my experience. I wouldn't worry just yet, one I did on
Saturday just came through a couple of hours ago - but if it's not there
soon, I'd start sniffing around for a reason.

Bob
