There are two ways I've found to deal with this:

1. Prior to hitting "Submit", open the form in a new (Let's call it a 
back-up) window... just in case...
2. I've found in cases when I have not done the step described above, 
opening a second browser window, THEN hitting the back key on the original 
browser window *sometimes* (about 55% of the time) works.

(9 out of 10 times it's the password I've entered wrong!) :o)
