I agree that NSI is an abomination but sometimes their ineptness pays
off.  I have a client who had not renewed a domain he registered through
NSI for 3 years.  Someone else out there wanted the domain name and not
only paid the 3 year back registrations but also gave him $3000 US to
transfer it to them.  Not too shabby for an asset he didn't even know he
had! By rights he shouldn't have had control of this domain at all of
course, but the new owners had gotten fed up trying to get it via NSI
deleting it and allowing them to register it.

At NSI the wonders never cease. :)
