Are you sure someone didn't just beat you to it?  If you were checking every
30 minutes, then wouldn't it just take somebody else with a script that
checks every 15 minutes?

On a similar note, I noticed recently that NSI has a "back-order any domain
you want" feature.  Sincee they operate the bloody registry, how could
anyone possibly pick up an expired domain if there's already someone on
NSI's very own waiting list?
