It means that some individual pre-registered example.info for the Sunrise
period.  Once a name is pre-registered during Sunrise, it is blocked from
being registered during the Landrush period.  Again, we are doing this to
maximize reseller chances of successfully registering the domain.
(Registrars lose a turn in the queue if there are duplicate names submitted)

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the quick response.  I found the old thread when searching
for domain taken in my "discuss" archives.  Since it matches the
behaviour I'm currently seeing I thought that perhaps it is true.

I understood it the way you explain it below, but when I try to
pre-register "example.info" it comes back with "domain taken".
And we have not pre-registered example.info yet.  This happens
via our 2.41 perl client or via the resellers web interface.
