Hello All,

I had a conference call with a customer and Mr. Phil Blake, a Customer
Operations Team Leader at NSI a little while ago.

To date, we've not had a single customer attempting a transfer even
RECEIVE an NSI auth request. Well, you can imagine Mr. Blake's utter
shock at this travesty.

He asked, "What was the tracking number?"

"The customer never received a thing."

"Yeah, but when you sent in the transfer, you would've gotten a tracking
number from us. It would start out NIC-...."

"This was a registrar to registrar transfer."

  "So?"

"We're not on the same page here."

  "Sure we are."

And so on we went for quite a while. It ended with him promising my
customer a swift callback. I wonder if he'll call back today. If not,
I'm sure it will be Monday. I just know it will be!

But I would like to know a tad more when I call Mr. Blake back on
Monday- like what actually goes on in the background once we send a
registry transfer to OpenSRS. Surely, these transactions are logged
and assigned some kind of transaction ID. Where can I tell Mr. Blake
to look?

As a side note, Mr. Blake said he would certainly research any
transfer order where NSI apparently dropped the ball and let a
domain expire where the owner wanted it transferred. My list would
be kinda short. It'd be shame to have Mr. Blake spend his time
researching such a short list. Anyone care to add to it?

Regards,
Cengiz
